Sustainability
At NZA New Zealand Auckland, we are committed to integrating sustainability into all aspects of our business. This is an ongoing process that includes careful choices in materials for our collections, as well as responsible design and construction of our stores
NZA New Zealand Auckland’s mission is to continue to create desirable, long-lasting products that resonate with our customers and are made with respect to people and planet.
We aim to reduce our environmental impact step by step, recognizing that lasting change takes time and continuous effort.
Social compliance
NZA New Zealand Auckland is focused on ensuring safe, healthy, and fair working conditions across our supply chain. These standards are outlined in the x NZA New Zealand Auckland Code of Conduct and supported by our membership in the Amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) since 2023.
Amfori is a global business association driving sustainable trade and supporting our ESG due diligence efforts to improve the Environmental, Social, and Governance performance of our supply chain.

SUPPLY CHAIN
NZA New Zealand Auckland has created a Factory Onboarding Process to ensure new factories in the supply chain are audited before proceeding with any production.
With our teams on the ground in China and Bangladesh, we continually work to improve our processes by visiting our factories regularly.
To effectively monitor suppliers, it is crucial to create transparency throughout the supply chain. NZA New Zealand Auckland is proud to have full visibility in its tier 1 suppliers and factories, which are factories that produce the final products. NZA New Zealand Auckland has achieved this with the help of the ICSR Voucher from MVO Nederland.
NZA New Zealand Auckland is continuously mapping further down the supply chain and is working towards full supply chain transparency.
LIVE OCEAN FOUNDATION
NZA New Zealand Auckland embodies the spirit of native wilderness and unparalleled landscapes, serving as a beacon of New Zealand’s beauty and biodiversity. To help restore and protect nature and wildlife we annually donate a part of our revenues from our perfume sales to the Live Ocean Foundation. The Live Ocean Foundation partners with exceptional New Zealand scientists, innovators and communicators to scale up action for a healthy ocean. They use the power of sport to take their insights and the ambition for a healthy ocean to the world stage.

BCI Cotton
Our cotton is sourced through a mass-balance system, meaning Better Cotton is mixed with conventional cotton, so the final product may not physically contain Better Cotton. However, by choosing to be a member, NZA New Zealand Auckland is supporting more sustainable farming practices and improved livelihoods for cotton-growing communities.
Recycled synthetics
Recycled synthetics, such as polyester and nylon, are produced from post-consumer or post-industrial waste materials such as PET plastic bottles and apparel – material that would otherwise have been sent to landfill. It prevents the further extraction of a non-renewable resource. By giving discarded resources a new life, it saves raw materials, water, chemicals, and energy.
Linen
Linen is a natural fibre and has a lower environmental impact than other fibres. It requires less water and doesn’t need pesticides to grow. Garments made with these fibres are breathable and highly absorbent, with high strength and durability.
Tencel Lyocell
Lyocell fibre is derived from sustainable wood sources and harvested from certified and controlled sources using a closed-loop production process. It transforms wood pulp into cellulosic fibres with high resource efficiency and low environmental impact. All products made from Tencel Lyocell have a valid Lenzing certification.
Recycled wool
Recycled wool is made of existing materials that are reused to save resources. By giving discarded resources a new life, we save raw materials, water, chemicals, and energy.
Leather Working Group Medal rated leather
The LWG audit process is used to evaluate leather manufacturers' environmental performance. The medal levels were established based on industry’s best practices and to recognize and reward exemplary environmental initiatives. With GOLD rate, the manufacturer has been audited and received at least the minimum scoring (85%) for a Gold medal classification – the highest LWG rating.

PACKAGING
At NZA New Zealand Auckland, we are continuously working to improve our sustainability practices, with a strong focus on reducing the use of single-use plastics in our packaging. All of the polybags we currently use are made from recycled plastics, and our paper packaging is FSC certified.
We are actively encouraging our suppliers and partners to adopt packaging methods that involve less material and more sustainable alternatives. Although we understand that this transition is a gradual, step-by-step process, we are committed to making consistent progress over time.
