How to fix snagging loops with wonder needle?

Snagging of the fabric is a common sign of wear, that occurs on your clothes when they encounter rough surfaces or sharp objects. With these easy steps you can repair this:

How to use the wonder needle?

1. Take the wonder needle/reverse stitch needle

2. Push through the fabric from bottom to top

3. Pass the loop or hook through the eye

4. The loop is half retracted

5. Hook or loop completely smooth. Do not cut the loop on the inside, this will prevent the fabric from fraying.

How to fix small holes in the garments?

1. Turn the garment inside out and cut a small piece of fusing paper that covers the hole.

2. Push the fabric around the hole together so the hole is no longer visible and place the fusing paper on the hole.

3. Place a cotton cloth over the hole and the fusing paper and iron it for about 10 seconds.

How to replace the buttons in the garments?

All of your NZA clothes come with a spare button.

  1. Use scissors or a seam ripper to carefully cut the threads holding the old button. Clean up any leftover threads.

  2. Align it with the existing buttonhole or use a ruler and chalk to mark the spot.

  3. Cut about 40-50 cm of matching thread, thread your needle, and tie a knot at the end.

  4. Sew through the holes (either 2 or 4) or 4–6 times. Create a thread shank if needed for thicker fabrics.

  5. Knot the thread on the inside of the fabric and trim the excess. Tug gently to ensure it's secure.
